Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Empowered to Change (“ETC,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in the ETC participant mobile app. The app is a private companion for people enrolled in the Empowered to Change recovery and reentry program. It is not a public consumer service, and access requires an account issued by ETC program staff.
We collect only what the program needs to support you:
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Information about your recovery and program participation is sensitive. We limit who can see it using role-based access controls, store it on secured infrastructure, and use it only to operate the program you are enrolled in.
We share your information only in these ways:
We keep your information while you are enrolled in the program and for as long as needed for program records and legal obligations. When you request account deletion, we remove your personal information from program records after staff review, except where we are required to retain it.
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls that restrict data to authorized staff, and private file storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.
The app is intended for adults enrolled in the Empowered to Change program. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated through the program.
